Specifically, this role will be responsible for developing a strategy and roadmap to improve our agency experience. It is a truly two-sided marketplace role: including understanding the Agency personas and their needs, as well as the client needs in finding, selecting, hiring and working with agencies. This effort involves building a ‘whole product’ solution that includes services and product, working with sales, operations, product, engineering, marketing, etc.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Define the ideal experience, tools, solutions required for both the client and agency personas.
  • Directly develop and execute the agency roadmap and work cross-functionally with the associated agile teams.
  • Work with UX Designers to ensure delivery of optimal user experiences
  • Ensure clear communication and coordination across business, design, and development teams. You raise and resolve risks or misalignment
  • Prepare and facilitate the implementation of go-to-market strategies, ensuring successful launch execution and adoption
  • You take ownership of the results - track critical metrics and use them to drive decision-making about what's next.
  • Lead product, design, and development in consultation with key cross functional partners - Freelancer Success, Sales, and Operations
  • Help define the vision, short and long term product strategy for the Agency Enterprise experience

  • 5+ years working in product with previous experience with Agile development methodologies
  • Consistent track record in understanding customer needs, working across a variety of functional teams, developing solutions, and launching complex products that impact growth
  • Passion for Upwork and a deep appreciation of Upwork’s mission and impact.
  • Excellent written and oral communication, interpersonal and presentation skills and the proven ability to influence and communicate effectively.
  • Collaborative attitude with a track record of building strong relations and negotiating at all levels, across the company.
  • Able to understand enough of the complex technical architecture to be effective at understanding the implications of product/design decisions
  • Able to juggle multiple responsibilities and competing priorities effectively
