Blend is looking for a Senior Accountant to join their expanding team. The Senior Accountant will be a key individual in US GAAP accounting and reporting, play an important role in month end close and NetSuite optimization, ASC 842 adoption, and system implementation. The ideal candidate should have a strong accounting background, preferably with 2 years of Big 4 experience. S/he must be detail-oriented, collaborative, and a problem-solver with strong communication and analytical skills.



Compile and analyze financial information to prepare journal entries in compliance with GAAP - main areas of responsibility will include accruals, prepaid expenses, inter-departmental expense and cost of revenue allocations, and sales tax reconciliations

Participate in Netsuite system optimization

Reconcile, investigate, and resolve variances in general ledger accounts

Assist in technical account research (i.e. ASC 842)

Assist in establishing, implementing, maintaining, and monitoring accounting procedures and policies

Assist in daily general ledger operations for a wide range of financial statement processes

Assist the team with various monthly close process duties

Assist in performing responsibilities related to external audits

Continuously identify and develop solutions for process efficiency to improve productivity


Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business and/or equivalent combination of education and experience. CPA preferred 

2-5 years of experience (ideally a mix of Big 4 and industry accounting experience)

Highly analytical with strong working knowledge of general operating accounting practices

Highly detailed oriented, possess effective project management skills, and strong ownership mindset

Knowledge in supporting best practice processes, systems, policies, and key internal controls

Familiarity with NetSuite and Expensify a plus

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills – able to work effectively with internal team members, collaborate with other teams, and manage external service providers
