We are seeking a strong leader for our compensation & benefits practice, reporting to the Head of People Operations. This person will also be a key strategic partner to the CEO, Finance, Legal and Compliance and others as the company scales. We are seeking someone who can scale up and down as the task requires -- up to leading strategic direction and processes, and down to handling basic compensation questions from recruiters, business partners, and managers.
Lead strategic planning and execution of Blend’s Total Rewards program
Make iterative improvements on the company’s career framework and other compensation practices to keep on trend with market and in line with Blend’s culture
Shape the methodology and practices for benchmarking, market survey analysis, and analytics development
Partner with HR business partners, recruiters and clients to creatively tackle compensation problems
Lead quarterly compensation review cycles
Work closely with benefit brokers for annual benefit renewal, keep up to date with market data and benefit trends, and maintain compliance with benefit practices
Identify benefit program enhancements that elevate Blend’s belief that benefits are a manifestation of our principles and culture: an inclusive, employee-led culture where everyone can do their best work
Drive planning for the People Operations technology roadmap
Oversee all people data reporting practices to deliver key insights and analytics across the business
Handle and guide the professional development of the Total Reward and HR Operations team
Experience with Pre-IPO companies in client-facing consultation, executive compensation, salary and equity structure design, and implementation of company-wide STI and LTI programs
Experience not only leading compensation at a pre-IPO company, but also taking that company public or through some other liquidity event
Experience evaluating secondary markets or other liquidity strategies and implementing them
People management experience
Ability to clearly and simply communicate strategy, programs, and practices with all levels of management and employees
Ability to scale total rewards programs in high-growth environments
Track record of creatively solving complex total rewards problems
