Studio X delivers inspired communication design as a strategic partner to the Ads & Business Platform organization. We’re looking for an Art Director to help us design and manage the creation of superb visual experiences in support of summits and events, programmatic video content, internal branding projects, and other communication design challenges.
The Studio X Art Director will help us deliver on our mission by bringing creative energy and expertise to lead and refine our projects. You'll ideate inspiring design directions, review work, and provide clear, actionable feedback to our creative team. We’ll leverage the conceptual ideas you develop in partnership with our content strategists to set the visual direction and you'll provide hands on direction to the design team along the way. Working closely with our Creative Lead, you'll mentor, coach, and lead creative efforts with sketches, workshops, brainstorms, and critiques all the way through to final client presentations.
We're looking for someone who has the ability to converse in a variety of visual styles, can provide detailed feedback in a chosen direction, and who has a portfolio of work that showcases their expertise. We'll need to see you help generate big ideas that get attention and also dedication to getting the best from the team down the line to final production. Candidates should have broad experience working on a variety of projects with multiple partners and on tight timelines.
RESPONSIBILITIES

    Ideating visual concepts/themes/directions

    Refining design work based on creative direction

    Delivering creative critiques and feedback to the design team
  •  
     
    Working cross-functionally within and outside of our team
  •  
     
    Developing visual identity platforms and systems
  •  
     
    Developing typography, palette, illustration, iconography systems
  •  
     
    Collaborating with internal and external team members
  •  
     
    Staying on track with project timelines
  •  
     
    Clearly articulating design decisions to a variety of partners
  •  
     
    Collaborating with executive staff
  •  
     
    Articulating storyboards or animatics for motion graphics and video
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  •  
     
    6+ years experience with communication or branding design
  •  
     
    Experience developing branding systems
  •  
     
    Experience with environmental design
  •  
     
    Experience leading other designers and creatives
  •  
     
    Experience in Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, and other packages
  •  
     
    A portfolio with examples in branding, presentation support, communication design, promotion, and environmental design
  •  
     
    A track record of engaging launched projects
  •  
     
    Experience articulating the latest in design trends
