CX Business Data Architect at WorkFront

The primary role of the Customer Experience (CX) Business Data Architect is to develop effective and high-quality prototype data solutions built on AWS & S3 that quickly meet customer requirements supporting Workfront’s Customer Experience (CX) Data & Analytics team. Technical abilities include the following, Python, SQL, Business Intelligence (BI) best practices, ETL, and data quality testing. This role will interface with business analysts and key stakeholders to support their analytics and reporting needs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Designing, implementing, and supporting an analytical platform that provides ad-hoc access to large data sets through (Redshift, S3/Athena etc.)
  • Work with the BI engineering teams to extract, transform and load data from a variety of data sources (API’s, CSV, Text etcc.) using SQL, and Python to load into a data warehouse.
  • Build prototype data pipelines and analytics solutions to quickly relieve the business need while working with BI engineering team to deliver long term scalable solution.
  • Consolidate and standardize data and KPI definitions, ownership, accountability to ensure alignment in understanding and high data quality.
  • Serve as a strong advocate to improve analytical capability across the CX organization.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to understand user requirements.
  • Establish & manage a proper QA & UAT testing process and data validation to ensure data & KPI’s delivered are accurate.

 Essential Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Background

  • BS in a technical discipline, mathematics, statistics, or business management.
  • Advanced programming skills and ability to utilize a variety of software/languages/tools for building data pipelines such as R, Python, SQL, SAS, Tableau etc.)
  • Advanced understanding of AWS services (S3, Redshift) including complex database ingestion operations.
  • Strong analytics, data mining and reporting skills, hands on experience in BI tools such as Tableau.
  • Experience using modern source control systems such as Github
  • Excellent attention to detail and follow through
  • Excellent organizational, project management, time management, communication, analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with a diverse set of internal stakeholders including senior level executives, technical, finance, legal, sales and marketing.
