As a Senior Underwriter at BlueVine, you will play an essential role in making decisions to fund small and medium sized businesses so that they can access the capital they need to maintain and expand their businesses. You will be focusing on conducting due diligence on businesses seeking receivables financing facilities of $500K or greater. 


    • Lead the initial screening of prospective clients and work with BlueVine’s Revenue team to structure facilities for the prospective clients that are competitive and that mitigate identifiable risks
    • Independently manage the due diligence process (including collateral analysis, cash flow analysis, financial statement analysis, and risk-adjusted returns analysis) for receivables financing facilities ranging from $500,000 to $5,000,000
    • Create a comprehensive underwriting approval package and pitch your recommendation to the credit committee
    • Facilitate the loan closing process (including negotiating legal documents, terms, and policy exceptions)
    • Manage risk of existing portfolio of clients by monitoring performance of funded accounts, ensuring adherence to operating conditions, performing on going due diligence on clients, and monitoring clients’ debtor credit
    • Maintain minimal losses for every $ tied to your approvals
    • Oversee and mentor junior team members and ensure due diligence and risk management best practices are being adhered to
    • Improve existing policies and workflows and help build a strong, scalable process


    • 2+ years of experience underwriting, account management, and/or field exam experience in receivables financing (factoring), asset based lending, or related fields
    • In depth knowledge of financial statements and ability to performed detailed financial statement analysis
    • Strong analytical skills

    • Excellent detail orientation and time-management skills
    • Working knowledge of PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
