Head of Industry, Entertainment at Facebook

Facebook is seeking an experienced marketing/sales leader with demonstrated success managing established and emerging business categories. The Head of Industry will lead the Facebook monetization strategy for the Entertainment vertical in the US. The ideal candidate will be a creative thinker with the ability to work cross-functionally to develop scalable solutions for their clients and their teams. They will have achieved success as leaders of change/operational excellence by introducing new performance measures, processes and systems. In the role, they will build and manage a strategically focused/consultative sales team, selling Facebook upper and lower funnel advertising solutions to partners. We are looking for a self-starter who has demonstrated success dealing with ambiguity and successfully managing teams with problem-solving leadership and limited oversight. Ideal candidates will have Entertainment management experience, a deep understanding of the media and agency ecosystem, and experience in a sales environment.

  • Play the lead role in developing the US Entertainment vertical at Facebook
  • Responsible for architecting strategies to grow the category
  • Work cross-functionally with In-Market teams in Business Operations, Measurement, Solutions Engineering and Product Marketing to optimize our efforts in this category
  • Consult with Product Marketing to help shape product development in support of Entertainment client needs
  • Guide the creation of persuasive presentations and narratives that demonstrate the value of Facebook to Entertainment clients and agencies
  • Identify winning strategies and scale them throughout the vertical, region and globally
  • Increase the effectiveness of the team by recognizing opportunities for new approaches
  • Develop and implement best practices for client interaction, sales and services for Facebook, including a good understanding of working with brand focused partners
  • Build, train and maintain a world-class, high performing team
  • Develop operational and forecasting excellence for the team
  • 12+ years marketing and sales experience
  • 10+ years experience working in Entertainment or working with Entertainment clients
  • 8+ years digital media experience
  • 5+ years management experience
  • Demonstrated experience using data and insights to craft media and marketing strategies
  • Experience partnering with and influencing cross-functional teams
  • Knowledge of digital advertising technology and data/performance measurement trends
  • Experience presenting to C-Level executives with an emphasis on translating insights, product information, and data into client value
  • Proven track record as a leader of change by introducing performance measures, processes and systems
  • Advertising/Marketing experience in a traditional, brand-focused environment
  • Data/analytics driven marketer with experience communicating the benefit of marketing/media opportunities to brands
  • Ability to forge relationships with marketing leaders and C-suite partners at brands and agencies
  • Facebook user with knowledge of the media landscape, reseller channels and vertical markets
  • Experience managing managers
