Privacy Consumer Experience - PM Lead:

Facebook uses data to power product experiences. We can only do this if people trust us with their data. To achieve this, we must be transparent with people on what data we have on them, the value of that data, and give them agency over their data.

The Privacy Consumer Experiences team is at the heart of changing how people experience privacy on Facebook. There are three main components of this role.

Core Privacy Products: The team builds experiences to empower people to understand how their data is collected and used to improve their own product experiences. Additionally, this team is responsible for building privacy products that give people, highly intuitive and powerful controls to change what data is collected and how it is used.

Cross-Company Impact: As the leader of the team, you will be at the heart of guiding the cross-company consumer product strategy. Beyond the products directly built by the team, this team will be guiding the privacy product investments across all of Facebook. All of our investments, from prioritization to implementation, across Instagram, Ads, Messenger must be in step. Additionally, your team will be building frameworks, such as engineering, measurement, design, etc., for the entire company so that all teams in Facebook can build amazing privacy products with minimal investment on their part.

Product Big Bets: Finally, the Privacy Products team will also invest in strategic big bets aimed to fundamentally changing the core user experience of Facebook products to reduce to overall surface area of Privacy risk for all users.

We are looking for a leader with strong organizational skills and past experience in building and scaling teams. This role involves very broad collaboration with executives from across the company. Hence strong communication and collaboration skills are a must.

PRIVACY CONSUMER EXPERIENCE, PRODUCT MANAGEMENT LEAD RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Manage a set of Product teams and lead the ideation, technical development and launch of the solutions aimed at driving industry value
  • Offer organizational design thinking to best structure the team and equip them for success in their goals
  • Establish a shared vision across the team by building consensus on priorities leading to product execution
  • Drive product development with a team of world-class engineers, designers, data scientists and user researchers
  • Maximize efficiency in a constantly evolving environment where the process is fluid and creative solutions are the norm
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • 8+ years of experience in technical architecture of web applications and/or media products
  • 8+ years experience designing user interfaces
  • 8+ years experience creating examples through wire frames and mock ups
  • 8+ years of experience taking a web product idea from concept through launch
  • 8+ years experience in product management or product design
  • BA/BS in Computer Science or related field
