Strategic Planning, Measurement & Operations Lead - AR/VR Event Marketing

In the AR/VR organization, we're building the next generation of devices and experiences that make people feel closer. This includes Oculus and Portal products, AR and VR software and content, and research and development labs.
We're looking for an accomplished leader to head strategic planning, measurement and operations for our AR/VR experiential and events marketing team. This team’s programs showcase our growing lineup of products, build our brands in AR/VR, accelerate the growth of our business and drive product adoption.
This person will be responsible for strategic planning, measurement and operationalization across all of our experiential and event programs, ensuring they are effective, integrated and aligned with our marketing and business goals. Specifically, this person will work to effectively scale our product experiences globally though automated and fiscally responsible demonstration initiatives including the AR/VR Anywhere program.
Our ideal candidate possesses sharp strategic instincts, experience demonstrating the short- and long-term return of marketing investment in experiential marketing and a complete command of the cross-functional operations required in the planning, implementation and measurement against break through, award winning event marketing executions that surprise, delight, innovate and astound.
To be successful in the role, this person will need to be a highly effective cross-functional collaborator with an understanding of complex multi-product roadmaps, a strong command of finance, an analytical sensibility and an unrelenting drive to improve, automate and scale.
STRATEGIC PLANNING, MEASUREMENT & OPERATIONS LEAD - AR/VR EVENT MARKETING RESPONSIBILITIES
Drive the holistic planning and measurement strategy for Facebook AR/VR live events and demonstrations worldwide and forecast resourcing and budget needs to deliver for success in alignment with organizational and company-wide goals
Lead a multi-disciplinary team, including technical producers, program managers, financial operations and demonstration and product specialists
Demonstrate the return of marketing investment for the business through both short- and long-term measurement, across brand & performance metrics for all types of live channel events and experiences Lead a multi-disciplinary team, including technical producers, program managers, financial operations and demonstration and product specialists
Drive large-scale adoption of our products and build the long-term health of our brands in AR/VR though live events and experiences around the world
Direct integrated, global product experience strategy across AR/VR suite of brands and products
Partner with Event Marketing Manager, Creative, Product Marketing, Channel Marketing teams and others in the development of breakthrough event and demonstration marketing strategy and product experience functionality across all channels and products
Build a test & learn culture, enabling the organization to get smarter with every investment we make, maximize spend and deliver fame worthy experiences
Apply technical expertise and product understanding that will drive effective hardware and platform testing in a variety of environments for ubiquitous demonstration capacities
Ensure platform hardware software and content roadmaps are aligned to ensure technical synergy required to execute cutting edge content demonstrations globally at scale
Plan and manage budgeting across all of Event Operations targeting minimal variance in forecasting and accruals and optimizing against long range planning and execution
10 or more years of experience working with marketing teams
Strategic Planning experience
Experience demonstrating marketing ROI across brand and performance metrics through short and long term measurement frameworks
Experience in AR, VR or related fields such as emerging consumer hardware or technologies
Management consulting experience
5+ years experience working with event and experiential marketing teams in support of consumer technology brands/products
