We're looking for a new member to join our large group of in-house creatives. This group supports the branded creative marketing and merchandising needs for Groupon globally by utilizing a variety of digital marketing channels to create campaigns that excite both our customers and our clients.

 

Groupon is in need of a Creative Manager who will promote our mission and elevate our communications. More specifically, we need an experienced creative with a background in e-commerce and/or retail marketing who is excited about the opportunity to innovate in a results driven environment.  We believe powerful ideas translate across a variety of media, so we’re seeking someone comfortable with—and adept at—working within a variety of disciplines.

 

You’ll need experience managing a team of designers, writers and production artists developing outstanding creative, thinking strategically and facilitating high variable workflows. If you enjoy taking projects from start to finish and work well in a fast moving environment, we’d like to talk to you.

 

You’ll spend time on the following:

  • Supervising and working with creative and production teams from ideation through final release, ensuring the campaigns supports the brand strategy
  • Executing projects within Display, Social, Landing Pages and Email channels
  • Maintaining stewardship of Groupon’s look, tone and feel
  • Following the latest standards and trends within the digital environment
  • Taking direction and working both collaboratively and autonomously
  • Identifying and implementing processes and solutions to drive creative operational scale and improve quality
  • Holding associates accountable for their work by setting expectations, achieving commitments, providing feedback, and evaluating effectiveness 
  • Communicating effectively with direct manager and senior leadership, synthesizing relevant information on key milestones, successful criteria and risks 

 

We’re excited about you if you have:

  • Experience with creative agencies or in-house services
  • Strong skills with directing Copywriters, Designers, and Production Artists
  • Good sense of design aesthetics
  • Strong knowledge of InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop; additional experience with After Effects, Sketch, and HTML preferred
  • Expert digital channel knowledge - specifically, display, email, and social
  • In-depth understanding within direct, promotions and/or shopper marketing
  • Knowledge of e-commerce and retail
  • Solid time management and organizational skills
  • Efficient work habits allowing you to quickly adapt to shifting needs and balance several distinct initiatives at any given time
  • Professional expertise and the ability to apply company policies and procedures
  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree
