Who We’re Looking For:

We are looking for passionate Director, Brand Marketing to help shape and drive the go to market & brand marketing programs that support the organization's strategies for growth. Successfully develop groundbreaking marketing strategies and programs that generate growth in customer acquisitions and increase in brand relevance in a brand-building and profitable manner. 


As the Director, Brand Marketing, you will be responsible for helping to lead brand initiatives internally and externally and ensuring a leadership position in the marketplace. These initiatives will range from brand campaign development (offline media, online media, owned channels) to brand and identity management to sponsorships and promotions.

Responsibilities:
  • Drives the vision for the brand and serves as a passionate advocate for the brand throughout the enterprise
  • Driving the brand marketing planning process; helping shape the value proposition, positioning, target definition and brand strategy to achieve our company mission
  • Defining and communicating key brand messages across all consumer touch-points
  • Partner with all enterprise stakeholders to build go to market strategies that drive growth
  • Developing a clear, comprehensive and easy to use brand and message guide for the company
  • Taking ownership over brand guidelines and collaborating with the design and copy teams in having these implemented across all communication channels
  • Negotiate and manage a wide range of external partners (social, creative, and media agencies)
  • Leading integrated brand/retail campaigns by working cross-functionally with Groupon teams, including offline advertising, online marketing, onsite, CRM and PR
  • Working with the research and marketing analytics team on the measurement of key initiatives centered around our customer health
  • Conducting and analyzing internal and external data/research to discover competitive advantages
  • Identifying, interpreting, and capitalizing on marketing and consumer trends

  • Functional managers/directors, senior executives
  • Brand, Digital, Catalog, Ecomm, Full Price and Outlet store partners
  • Finance
  • Customer service and operations
  • Merchandising, Planning, Creative & Visual Services, Licensing and International
  • Outside vendors and agencies
 
Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of proven brand marketing experience (experience in agency or client side having successfully worked on Global brands)
  • A bachelor’s degree in marketing; MBA preferred
  • Ability to think both strategically and creatively
  • You’re polished yet scrappy, entrepreneurial self-starter who can oversee multiple projects at a time and drive them to completion effectively in a high energy, dynamic company environment
  • Flexible and open to change and new ideas
  • Experience working with and motivating external and internal partners and effectively manage an integrated team and process at a global scale
  • Ability to hire, motivate and coach highly effective teams
  • A great communicator and story-teller
