Groupon Procurement builds partnerships between stakeholders and strategic suppliers across all company spend. We take a multi-disciplinary approach to procurement, combining spend category expertise, industry knowledge, and financial acumen. The Manager, Procurement Operations will be responsible for supporting indirect sourcing efforts across all departments as well as managing procurement processes in our P2P system (Coupa) and our ticketing solution (Freshdesk). This role reports to the Director, Procurement Operations and leads a growing team of procurement analysts in Bangalore, India. This role will design, implement and improve procurement processes that increase the velocity of transactional procurement activities while improving internal stakeholder satisfaction. The Manager will demonstrate strong leadership and communication skills, as well as analytic and financial skills to promote positive working relationships with business partners and suppliers. They will also be required to demonstrate and strengthen their Excel, PowerPoint, meeting facilitation and presentation skills.
What you'll be doing:
Lead a growing team of two analysts in Bangalore, India who are responsible for improving internal satisfaction with procurement processes
Act as a role model and consistently demonstrates Groupon's Leadership Habits
Serve as the main escalation contact for Procurement Operations issues by providing internal business stakeholders assistance with purchasing, contracting and p-cards
Understand and actively improve not just procurement processes, but also those of the broader Finance organization when it comes to procurement contract expirations and renewals
Establish and ensure routine POs adhere to budgets, schedules, work plans, and performance requirements in Coupa
Ensure accuracy and completeness of the contract database while supporting the various stakeholders in legal and accounting who utilize the contract data
Analyze and present business cases, proformas, and complex data-sets requiring an in-depth evaluation of multiple variables to finance leadership and business partners
Work cross-functionally with the legal team to create processes that improve the speed of procurement contract review
Maintain intranet documentation on the procurement process, create and present training on the process to internal stakeholders
Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, ethical practices and adherence to relevant laws and regulations
We're excited about you if you are/have:
Detail-oriented. Ability to manage multiple projects with distinct stakeholders.
Ability to perform analysis of business data and issues and make recommendations to senior leaders
Ability to assess team capabilities and identify gaps
Ability to understand financial systems and internal processes. Experience working in a SOx controlled environment a plus
Strong oral and written communication skills to internal and external stakeholders
Strong interpersonal and customer service skills. Ability to work in a transaction based ticket queue within SLA timeframe.
Ability to lead and participate on teams with shared responsibility for outcomes and decision making
Experience presenting to large groups
Ability to manage and lead meetings and follow up on meeting action items
Undergraduate degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Supply Chain Management or related discipline required
Minimum of 6 years experience in procurement, buying, finance, accounting, system administration with 1+ years of experience leading a team
Advanced skills in Gmail, Google Sheets and Excel; knowledge of Coupa a plus.
