We are looking for a Senior Network Automation Engineer to join our Global Network Engineering Operations team. This team is responsible for 24x7 follow-the-sun support of the Corporate IT environment (office environments, colo’s, on-premise data centers, and cloud infrastructure). As a member of the Global Network Engineering Operations, you will spend a 50/50 split between Engineering and Operations, you will be responsible for incident management and proactive maintenance to minimize future impact. This includes hardware/software lifecycle management, network standardization, network automation and network monitoring.

You’ll spend time on the following:

  • You will develop scripts to support the design, deploy, audit and manage AWS Network infrastructure including automating repetitive tasks

  • You will create automated self-service dashboards and alerts related to network stability by making continuous improvements to the monitoring processes, performance measurement, failure response and capacity utilization

  • You will contribute to runbooks and documentation for testing and service level agreements

  • You will research AWS technologies and design architecture with core Amazon Web Services infrastructure services such as EC2, S3, ELB, VPC, and Transit Gateways to implement them

  • You will create the monitoring tools to ensure network health utilizing CloudWatch

  • You will participate in 24x7 on-call rotation, root cause analysis, lead discussions and implement short-term and definitive solutions

  • You will develop and inspire junior members of the team

  • You will project manage and drive solutions from inception to fruition


We’re excited about you if you have:

  • At least 5 years’ hands-on experience writing scripts to build/ configure/ audit routing and switching in highly complex environments

  • At least 5 years’ experience creating technical documentation

  • At least 3 years’ experience designing architecture with core Amazon Web Services infrastructure services such as EC2, S3, ELB, VPC, and Transit Gateways 

  • At least 3 years’ experience configuring alerts and utilization trends leveraging CloudWatch

  • At least 3 years’ experience scripting automation tasks for network administration

  • Exposure and discipline in ITIL and ITSM practices

  • A big plus if you have experience with automation and DevOps tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, Puppet, Chef, GitHub

  • A big plus if you have experience creating automated self-service dashboards and alerts related to network stability by making continuous improvements to the monitoring processes and performance

  • A big plus if you have contributed to migrating on-premises virtualized workloads to AWS

  • A big plus if you have experience with the Atlassian stack (Confluence and Jira).

  • A big plus if you have a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Network Engineering or related field
