We're looking for a new member to join our in-house agency. The group supports the branded creative marketing and merchandising needs for Groupon globally by utilizing a variety of digital marketing channels and the capabilities of our in-house photo and video studio to create campaigns that excite both our customers and our clients.
Groupon is in need of a SEO Writer who finds inspiration across all digital channels and understands how to use SEO/SEM to drive consumers to engage with the brand. We encourage our people to flex their creative muscles, stay positive, and consistently push to do more, be more and bring more.
You’ll spend time doing the following:
Further Groupon’s SEO/SEM strategy by supporting organic search traffic across blog-style articles, landing pages and website content
Contribute to customer growth by keeping Groupon’s content ranked high in Google searches
Drive online conversions from incremental website traffic and creative optimization
Partner with SEO team to identify opportunities to implement SEO/SEM best practices
Interpret SEO insights and find solutions to optimize content within the copywriting and content practices
Analyze organic search data to recognize patterns and implement actionable strategies
Maintain stewardship of Groupon’s tone, voice, and brand standards
Collaborate with project teams to plan, organize and execute assigned projects
Stay current on industry trends, best practices and provided guidelines
Use digital technology effectively to enhance the creative idea
Take direction and work both collaboratively and autonomously
We’re excited about you if you have:
3-5 years of experience with creative or in-house agencies, specifically with a focus on SEO writing
Demonstrated success of SEO/SEM best practices within content and copywriting practices
Understanding of the value of the brief, along with KPIs related to SEO
Experience with link building best practices, with the ability to drive consumers to landing pages
A results-oriented mindset with a willingness to learn, understand and drive organic search across key verticals, including CPG/goods, experiences, travel, health, beauty and wellness
Pristine written and verbal communication skills with a proficiency in AP style
Ability to own SEO projects from kickoff to completion while collaborating with multiple teams
Knowledge of e-commerce and retail; SEO strategy a plus
Excellent time management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines
Professional expertise and the ability to apply company policies and procedures
Easy going attitude that doesn’t take yourself too seriously
Associate or Bachelor’s degree
