Lightspeed is looking for an experienced Scrum Master (Technical Project Manager) to work in our Internal Systems team. In this role, you will make sure that the different development projects regarding our internal systems are going well. If you are a go-getter, have experience in delivering a wide range of multi-team and multi-disciplinary technology initiatives/projects, involving the implementation of core technology and application development, in a SaaS environment, this is for you!

Primary Responsibilities

  • Run daily scrums and ceremonies across technology disciplines
  • Manage concurrent project plans, track risks, issues and dependencies
  • Update Jira, the sprints planning and oversee assignment of tickets
  • Help with capacity planning
  • Detect impediments and take necessary measures to resume traction
  • Seek with cross functional stakeholders and facilitate resolution of issues 
  • Maintains precise, accurate and timely meeting notes, and is adept at actively tracking/managing follow ups
  • Proficiency with Jira as it is the tool being used for ticket, backlog and sprint management
  • Delivers management project status reports

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or in Engineering
  • Experience leading and managing small to medium/complex IS projects, in a SaaS environment
  • In depth understanding of both Agile methodology (Scrum, SAFe, Kanban) and SDLC principles
  • Proficiency in standard productivity tools (Google Docs, Jira, Excel, Word)
  • 3+ years Scrum Master/ Technical Project Management in the IT Industry, within a software development team
  • PMP & Agile/Scrum Master certifications an asset 
  • Must be detail-oriented, very organized and value the integrity of the data being reported
  • Must have the ability to be flexible, work independently and be self-motivated
  • Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Customer service-oriented
