Business System Analyst at Facebook

The AR/VR Sales group is looking for an experienced business analyst to help drive development of sales planning processes and tools. This Analyst will partner deeply with many cross-functional teams, including data engineering, product marketing, finance, sales ops among others. The primary objectives of this position are to enable leadership to make strong and analytically-driven strategic decisions efficiently and to increase operating rigor. This person must be comfortable working with large distributed data sets and have a strong ability to build sound business tools that accurately represent the state of Facebook AR/VR businesses by enabling data accumulation, extraction to discovering business insights to clear visualization.

The ideal candidate will be passionate about Facebook and working in the emerging industry of AR/VR, have a proven track record of proactive analytical excellence in a fast-paced business environment, and be a strategic thinker who can drive results quickly. This is a full-time position and is located at HQ in Menlo Park, California.

  • Manage retailer sales data reporting process end-to-end and ensure weekly and monthly reporting accuracy
  • Create automated reporting for sales performance tracking
  • Work with Data Engineering teams to set up optimal data structures to support insightful business analytics
  • Set up reporting and performance tracking processes
  • Project manage the development of localized tools and dashboards that Sales and cross-functional teams can use to extract business insights
  • Design tools needed and execute on standard cadence of sales operations (e.g., goal-setting, revenue review, key accounts reviews)
  • Lead and facilitate the target setting process for the Sales Team
  • Set appropriate KPIs and track performance
  • Lead implementation of sales capability technology roadmap and delivery to new tools
  • Drive operational excellence in sales organization through identification and execution of opportunity areas and tools that create efficiency, remove obstacles, or create improved processes and approaches to the business
  • B.S. or M.S. in business-related or quantitative field (Economics, Finance, Math, Engineering, or similar discipline)
  • 5+ years of experience in business strategy, finance, analytics or sales planning
  • Experience with either building or managing development of planning, forecasting or sales management tools
  • Experience with Excel and PowerPoint
  • 3+ years of experience in SQL
  • Experience problem solving individually or in a group setting and knowledge of drivers of the business
  • Experience designing, leading and executing analysis and sales reporting
  • Experience shifting priorities, while maintaining organization and control
  • Communication experience
  • Experience with forecasting tools
  • Experience in strategic planning in tech company, investment banking or strategy consulting with a focus on technology or hardware business
  • Experience in Tableau/Power BI/visualization tools
  • Experience in communicating with clarity across both engineering, marketing and sales teams
  • Proven experience working in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities and lack of guidance
