Communications Planner, Consumer Marketing at Facebook

We are hiring a Communications Planning Manager for the Consumer Marketing team to join the Communications Planning and Media Investment (CPMI) team, which is part of Facebook's Consumer Marketing organization. The team is responsible for communications planning and media strategy for all Facebook consumer-facing campaigns, and we own the relationship with our media AOR for planning and execution. We are looking for candidates with experience in strategic brand planning, direct response, global messaging, paid social, full funnel strategy and agency management.

COMMUNICATIONS PLANNER, CONSUMER MARKETING RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop measurable media communication plans that align to business objectives, incorporate industry innovation, and leverage appropriate channels (digital and traditional)
  • Work closely with our Marketing Managers and be a thought partner and creative problem solver across short- and long-term campaigns and initiatives, creating and sharing media-related best practices and POVs
  • Build and maintain cross-functional relationships with Marketing, Decision Science, Insights, and Creative teams, providing communications planning and media thought leadership
  • Partner with external media agencies and internal buying teams to collaborate on media planning and execution around the globe
  • Serve as the project manager of media work streams and deliverables (ex: plans, agreements) to ensure seamless campaign delivery and close coordination between internal and external teams
  • As needed, collaborate with internal product teams on custom media solutions
  • Ongoing campaign optimization and reporting
  • Analyze campaign performance against KPIs
  • Create Target Audience recommendations
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • 5+ years experience in communications planning roles at an agency or within client organization
  • Experience in planning and executing multi-channel, full-funnel media campaigns
  • Experience working data-driven environments
  • Experience presenting to project stakeholders
  • Experience navigating cross-functional teams and dynamics
  • Experience representing and advocating for team objectives across varying levels of stakeholders
  • Knowledge of trends and innovation in media, tracking, analytics and research
  • Experience pulling insights from data and tell a story using those insights
  • Experience leading multiple full-funnel media strategies from inception to launch
  • Experience collaborating with partners across Earned, Owned and Shared Media
  • Experience communicating in the role of individual channels vs. how channels complement each other in a plan
  • Knowledge of testing scenarios/methodology (i.e. A/B testing online and matched market testing offline) and the benefits and drawbacks of testing
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience working in crisis management
  • Experience managing a media agency as a client
  • Ability to pull runs from MRI, Kantar or Simmons
  • Experience building thorough competitive analysis
  • Experience working directly with a creative team to guide channel best practices
  • Comfortable with Facebook Ads Manager
