Product Marketing Manager, AR Devices and Experiences at Facebook

We are seeking a Product Marketing Manager to support products and programs under early development stages. The successful candidate is someone passionate about building augmented reality (AR) devices and experiences for consumers. The PMM will spearhead the market requirements definition of our AR products and explore how nascent technologies and solutions should come together and be effectively leveraged. This role requires working collaboratively with cross-functional teams including product management, market insights, user research, hardware and software teams to shape product concept, definition and roadmap aimed at delivering meaningful interactions for clearly defined and receptive audiences. This role will initiate and lead activities involved in identifying industry, market and consumer needs and opportunities, ensuring clear and differentiated positioning for all products and technology solutions on the inbound side. Develop compelling go-to-market strategies aimed at driving successful user adoption and growth objectives on the outbound side.

To be successful, the candidate will bring a combination of strategic vision, communication skills, collaborative mindset and hardware and/or software product launch experience, having worked in highly cross-functional, dynamic environments built to move fast, ruthlessly prioritize, and pivot quickly as needed to incubate future technologies.

This role is based in Menlo Park, CA, will require travel 20-30% of the time, and reports into the Head of Product Marketing, AR.

  • Partner closely with product teams to define the strategy, roadmap and success metrics for all AR products and core technology solutions, ensuring product market fit and long-term lifecycle management
  • Bring a strong consumer lens to inform and guide strategic decisions and tradeoffs related to product value and positioning, features, schedules, cost, pricing, and lifecycle management
  • Lead market assessment and sizing through quantitative analysis, qualitative feedback and represent the voice of the consumer internally with Product Management and R&D teams in the prioritization, design and development of AR devices and experiences
  • Identify long-term opportunities and strategic views of product(s) direction based on market assessment, qualitative research and quantitative analysis
  • Demonstrate and illustrate an understanding of the broader AR ecosystem and competitive landscape to identify clear use case opportunities for product market fit of our AR products and future tech solutions
  • Develop product positioning, naming, audience definition and sizing, and go-to-market strategy for a portfolio of products and technologies
  • 5+ years of relevant product marketing and/or product management experience in consumer technology, hardware and/or software technology companies
  • Experience with consumer research and proficiency in using data and insights to inform product strategy
  • Experience working in a cross-functional capacity within a fast-paced, changing environment
  • BA/BS degree in business, accounting, engineering, finance, marketing, or related field
  • Combination of strategic marketing experience and hands-on tactical execution
  • Experience and/or domain knowledge in AR, mobile devices, and/or hardware/software platforms
