Research Program Manager, Survey Tools at Facebook

Our Research Operations team builds and scales global research programs to strengthen the impact of our world-class Research team. We do this by implementing operational systems, connecting teams and knowledge, and problem solving operational hurdles to enable Researchers to do their most impactful work. In this position, you will use a full range of organizational and interpersonal skills that help our talented teams operate at their highest and most effective level. This role requires project and program management experience and a broad knowledge of research's impact on product design and development. Excellent communication skills, ability to manage complex logistics, and a highly organized approach are mandatory. This is a full-time position based in our Menlo Park office.

  • Provide support for users of the survey tools products
  • Develop, maintain, monitor and refine operational processes, including technical training for researchers
  • Identify opportunities for survey tool enhancements and prioritize key issues and opportunities
  • Collaborate with cross functional partners to define and document survey policies
  • Define and own success metrics including key quality and performance indicators
  • Conduct ongoing communication of team programs and reduce surprises by proactively managing risks
  • Predict obstacles and establish solutions to overcome challenges
  • Move initiatives forward, find resources, raise concerns to owners early and resolve open issues that prevent progress
  • Hold the line when progress is in jeopardy while maintaining relationships
  • Contribute to strategic initiatives across Research Technology team and broader Research Operations org
  • Travel up to 15% (domestic and international) as needed
  • BA/BS
  • 5+ years of program or project management experience
  • 2+ years of technical project/program management experience
  • Track record of operating independently, being detail-oriented, and delivering results in a highly organized manner
  • Experience understanding user needs, gathering requirements, and defining scope
  • Experience communicating to and influencing a variety of audiences from engineers, to vendors, to senior research leaders
  • Track record of building cross-functional relationships
  • Experience working with UX Research and/or UX Design
