Strategic Planning & Operations Team Lead, Consumer Marketing at Facebook

As a key partner in the Marketing Strategy & Operations (MS&O) team, the Planning & Operations Team Lead will support all planning and operations across our consumer product marketing organization, responsible for our entire suite of apps (Facebook, Instagram, Messenger, and WhatsApp). In partnership with the head of planning and operations and embedded planning and operations partners, you will oversee the annual planning process, you will be responsible for ensuring that we launch and manage our marketing investments (research, creative, launch, advertising) as efficiently and effectively as possible.

STRATEGIC PLANNING & OPERATIONS TEAM LEAD, CONSUMER MARKETING RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Support and evolve consumer marketing's planning and operations function to maximize for impact and return on investment, applying strategic rigor and oversight as well as adopting a structured approach to prioritization
  • Oversee and manage ongoing operational needs of the consumer marketing organization, including budgets/forecasting, monthly and quarterly reporting, and ongoing measurement, partnering with multiple stakeholders, including Finance, Decision Science, Insights, marketers, etc., to continuously explore ways to simplify and/or automate process to improve data accuracy and execution
  • Partner with head of planning and operations to drive annual planning meetings for our marketing leadership team, including relevant analysis, and synthesizing plans and learnings for next half
  • Structure & execute data analysis to inform prioritization and planning, and summarize insights and implications in presentations to marketing leadership
  • Lead and support strategic projects related to planning and operations that help scale the organization (e.g., localization, marketing integration, creative efficiencies)
  • Serve as the main point of contact for our Consumer Marketing team and cross-functional partners for matters related to organization-wide planning and operations
  • Lead a team of experienced marketers to drive the central planning & operations activities
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor in Business, Management, Marketing, and Related Support Services
  • 8+ years of experience in strategic planning and operations for a marketing organization and/or a management consulting role with a consumer marketing or technology focus
  • 2+ years direct people management experience
  • Experience providing presentations across an organization
  • Experience translating business challenges and questions into solutions
  • Experience building relationships with colleagues at all management levels
  • Experience planning, prioritizing, and executing on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Experience utilizing data to drive decisions and measure results
  • Experience delivering on ad-hoc requests with deadlines
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • MBA
