System Test Architect at Facebook

The Portal Quality Assurance team is responsible for ensuring the launch of high quality products and experiences, through system test architecture, building automation and infrastructure, AI data collection, and contributing to beta testing. The team seeks a System Test Architect, who will create and drive a product’s QA strategy. The right candidate will possess a deep background in device QA, can think through complex system testing and works well cross functionally with our business units and with third party vendors. This is a full-time position based in our Menlo Park office.

SYSTEM TEST ARCHITECT RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead the planning, development, execution, and delivery of QA strategies for Portal
  • Be the feature and technology quality owner, working cross-functionally with partner technology and business teams to answer for product quality
  • Own the creation and review of test plans for unique consumer products
  • Define success criteria for functionality, system, end-to-end and end-user testing
  • Identify and prioritize blocking issues and drive to resolution, balancing business needs against technical constraints
  • Find and implement automation solutions in line with frameworks and tools in partnership with the Automation Engineering team
  • Support test quality programs and results reporting with various vendors and internal cross functional teams, ensuring accuracy and priority of tests executed and issues found
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 5+ years experience in a System Test Architect role or equivalent
  • Experience in delivery and commercialization in the consumer electronics industries
  • Experience partnering with Development Engineering and other functions
  • Knowledge and experience with test methodologies, creating test plans, test cases, and debugging
  • Experience writing code & scripts to drive test systems
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience creating test harnesses and infrastructure
  • Experience with Android
  • Working knowledge of UNIX/Linux environments
