Senior Mobile Developer at Upserve

The Opportunity
We are looking for a motivated Senior Mobile Developer to join Upserve’s Point of Sale development team. This team owns the development efforts of Upserve’s core product.  Mobile Developers on this team architect the client and scale the backend infrastructure to meet new and existing requirements with robust, maintainable solutions. They work closely with Product, UX, and Dev Ops to coordinate efforts, iterate on features, anticipate future needs, and inform the product roadmap. 

What You’ll Do
- Be a technical leader, gaining ownership and mutual respect over existing and new areas of the product, and collaboratively design with our customer’s needs as paramount.
- Drive quality and testing methodologies to ensure only robust solutions are delivered.
- Create maintainable solutions that meet Product and Engineering needs to grow the business.
- Collaborate with our Product and UX teams to disambiguate requirements and understand context to create the appropriate interfaces.
- Participate in sprint planning, code reviews, retrospectives, and mentoring.
- Work on some of the most difficult and challenging problems that Upserve faces.

- You have worked with mobile and web technologies and platforms such as Android, iOS, Java, Objective-C, React Native, TypeScript, and Appium.
- You understand the world of mobile use cases does guarantee always-on, high bandwidth, low latency connectivity and you design accordingly.
- You have built, optimized, and scaled real-time, fault-tolerant, distributed systems.
- You get excited about types and algorithms, and know when to choose the right data structure for the right task.
