Software Engineer II at Workfront

As a Senior Software Engineer at Workfront, you will work with your Engineering team and partner with Product Management to take ideas for Workfront’s products and turn them into features in our Work Automation Cloud platform. You will work in an Agile environment and estimate assigned work, create OO designs, provide task breakdowns, implement features, and develop and support micro-services.


  • Work on the implementation of features using common libraries and frameworks
  • Support and maintain existing production code and develop new enhancements and products for our client base
  • Work closely with a cross-functional team of developers, designers, and QA engineers to produce high quality web applications
  • Participate on an Agile team
  • Assist in implementing stories to product specifications
  • Collaborate with and continuously learn from other team members and peers to foster an existing culture of career progression

  • Assisting in development with a wide range of technologies (focused on front-end tech first, but will be coding back-end when needed)


  • B.S. degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in an application development position.
  • Advanced knowledge of JavaScript, CSS, and HTML standards
  • Advanced knowledge and experience working with Component-based View Rendering Library/Framework (Ember, React, Angular, etc.)
  • Possess strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Capable of working on back-end technologies as needed (Java, Spring, Node, etc)
  • Experience with JS testing, browser testing and debugging
  • An in-depth understanding of common functional design patterns, data structures and algorithms, especially in the context of JavaScript
  • Knowledge of client side performance analysis and optimization
  • Proficiency with version control systems, preferably Git
  • Passionate about exploring new technologies 


  • Agile Software Development experience
  • Experience with micro-frontend architecture
  • Comfortable working with Command Line
  • React, npm, Webpack, Aphrodite, ES2015/ES6, JS Module Patterns (UMD, AMD, CommonJS, ESMs)
  • Team-centric software development, high performance software delivery in a team environment
