Roofstock is looking for an Investment Analyst to join our Business Development team. This position will report into the Director, Portfolio Services. In this role, you will be responsible in sourcing and analyzing potential acquisitions for our different business lines. As part of this role, the Analyst will gain a deep understanding of real estate markets through market research, property valuation and underwriting.
As our ideal candidate, you are a self-starter with successful track record in real estate sales. You have strong communication skills, and superior listening skills enabling you to understand what the client needs, and have strong problem solving skills in order to meet those client needs. You thrive on finding new clients and knowing you have helped added value by helping them solve their problems.
You thrive in a team environment, and are willing to pitch in, where needed, to help the team succeed. You are innovative in your approach to solving problems and having solutions driven mindset using available resources to create amazing solutions to complex problems.

What You Will Do
Work with the Business Development team to design and execute a plan for sourcing and winning new business opportunities as well as developing strategic partnerships across the SFR landscape
Source, analyze, and underwrite potential investments through prospecting and communicating with potential clients
Forecast financial performance, identify underperformance and implement corrective action on existing investments
Educate prospective clients on the Roofstock value proposition and the services offered
Interface with cross-functional teams including rehab/renovations and property management
Identify opportunities in existing processes to increase efficiency, as well as establishing and documenting new processes
What You Bring With You
Minimum 3 years’ experience in sales or business development
Experience in real estate transactions
Excellent interpersonal skills
Strong analytical, problem solving and negotiation skills
Proficient in using Salesforce and Microsoft
Ability to travel up to 15% of the time
