Head of Product Marketing at Clever

At the center of an ecosystem including 75,000 schools and 500 edtech companies, Clever has a unique opportunity to help advance K-12 education in the U.S. In this role, you’ll develop the product marketing vision, strategy, and team to help Clever unlock new ways to learn for all students. We have exciting new products for new audiences coming to market; and we’re looking for an experienced leader who has successfully grown products for both business and consumer.

As head of product marketing, you’ll be responsible for building a world-class function, coaching and inspiring your team to achieve our aggressive business goals and their personal growth goals. This role reports to the VP Marketing.

You Will:

Build a high-performing product marketing team, hiring and motivating the talent we need to conceive and tackle big ideas. 

As a great storyteller, you’ll develop brand and product narratives that resonate with our audiences; and you’ll lead product naming, positioning, and messaging. 

Collaborate with product, sales and success teams to create the winning go-to-market strategy for our products. 

Create and execute marketing programs to achieve awareness, adoption, and engagement objectives.

Discover customer insights as the foundation for strategy, programs, and narratives.

Seek out and learn from customer, competitive, and market data to improve our understanding of the market and growth opportunities. 

Guide an aggressive set of new product launches in partnership with a cross-functional team.

Use your strong content creation background to lead development of compelling marketing assets including sales enablement and thought leadership.

Coach the product marketing team to do important and impactful things well; and create an environment that encourages personal growth and operational excellence.

You Should:

8+ years technology marketing experience with a focus on product marketing; experience with both B2B and B2C markets

Experience selecting and developing high-performing teams; a respected people manager and team lead

History of success building, launching, and scaling products and new businesses

Exceptional communication, presentation, and writing skills 

Experience leading and collaborating with multi-function teams on complex projects without a playbook

Resourcefulness and an ability to roll-up your sleeves

A data-driven mentality with strong analytical and research skills.
