R&D Technician, Process at QuantumScape

You will work closely with scientists & engineers & be responsible for:
The precise execution of SOP's to efficiently prepare and process high-quality samples on process development equipment 
Using lab equipment to characterize samples, assess sample against specifications to identify defects and meticulously record the data and results into a database
Clearly and concisely communicating task completion status to your team members and manager through verbal and written pass-downs using MS Office applications (Excel, Outlook and OneNote).
Performing all duties in a safe manner
The candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and works well both independently and in teams. 
Experience and education
You possess a high school diploma and a minimum of 5 years’ experience as a technician or equivalent combination of education and experience. 
At least 4 years of lab experience in an R&D or production environment
You have working experience in chemical handling and safe laboratory practices 
Degree from a 2 or more year program preferred.
Knowledge Skills & Abilities:
Capable of completing tasks on an aggressive schedule 
The ability to follow experimental plans and deliver results in a timely fashion is critical. 
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Organized and detail-oriented, strong teamwork
Experience working with wet benches, chemicals, fume hoods
Knowledge of safe laboratory practice especially in operating ovens
Familiarity with computer operation, including data entry and interaction with databases. 
Capable of working independently and on a shift-based schedule
Proficient with standard software (e.g. Microsoft Office)
 Ability to perform work in a glovebox, dry room or fume hood that requires the use of fine motor skills for extended periods of time, standing, reaching and twisting motions with hands and lifting up to 15 lbs.
Experience in any of the following is a strong plus!
DOE execution 
Experience in chemistry, materials science, ceramic science, wet chemistry, thermal processing of materials, or coating methods.
