About the role

Do you want to power the future of home buying and selling? “Zillow 2.0” is still in early stages, so come seize this rare opportunity to make a significant impact. We are seeking a Product Manager who is passionate about building experiences for internal customers and navigating the challenges posed by legal and compliance requirements to help us fundamentally change how people find and buy homes. We believe in autonomy and moving fast, so self-motivation and the energy to blaze trails is a must-have for this role.

As the Product Manager, Compliance, you will be the subject matter expert for existing and emerging regulatory requirements that apply to our business and the various business units that must abide by them. The role will require you to have a wide breadth of understanding of the technology products that we use in order to connect the dots and make compliance more accessible for all teams. You will build products that meet the business needs of product, legal, and compliance in a user friendly way that enables us to ensure compliance throughout our transition to Zillow 2.0.

  • Be the evangelist for compliance initiatives across the organization to achieve shared prioritization and execution on the most impactful work
  • Deliver solutions through partnerships with other product managers across multiple product development teams
  • Lead the product from concept to design, specification, implementation, and analysis
  • Partner with design and engineering to wow your users with smart workflows and tools that make them highly efficient
  • Collect continuous feedback from our operations and customers to evolve the product
  • Isolate knowledge gaps and close them with quantitative and qualitative research. Turn that data into actionable product plans
  • Move fast in an agile and iterative team environment
  • Some travel required to meet with internal customers and stakeholders

Who you are

  • 2+ years of experience in a product management role
  • A highly analytical approach, with proven experience using data to drive step-change results
  • A collaborative working style with a strong focus on execution and results
  • Humility to question assumptions, seek broad input, and validate iteratively
  • You have keen strategic vision, the ambitious leadership to deliver it, and the strong ability to influence without direct authority
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, the ability to simplify complex topics, and comfort presenting at all levels of the organization, from exec on down
  • Passion for empowering other people through technology
  • Either a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a technical/analytical discipline, equivalent tech work experience, or an MBA
  • Nice to have: Prior compliance or regulatory experience
