About your role:

  • Expense Reports/Accounts Payable – Process all employee expense reports and company credit card transactions, auditing online (Concur) process to ensure appropriate approvals, account coding, and valid documentation. Prepare weekly/bi-weekly accounts payable listing, identify vendors for payment, and ensure timely and accurate payment
  • Collections – Develop and execute a system and process that will ensure timely collection of all accounts receivable. Collaborate with Sales team and their related customers whenever needed to meet collections goals.  Assist in developing policies and processes that will achieve the company’s objectives for collections
  • Research client payment disputes and resolve any issues
  • Assist in preparing monthly billings to customers
  • Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with accepted policies and procedures, maintain month-end account reconciliations for all relevant accounts
  • Backup Accounts Receivable/Cash Receipts – Receive all incoming checks and payments, prepare weekly cash collections report and aged receivables report
  • Backup Accounts Payable (Vendors)
  • Prepare journal entries as needed
  • Assist the Finance Department in activities as needed
  • Resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities
  • Assist with the audit process

You are...

  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Accounting or Finance
  • Communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Organizational skills, detail oriented, analytical
  • Outstanding PC skills with Word and Excel (including but not limited to V-lookup and pivot tables)

Bonus point if...

  • Familiar with foreign currency transactions
  • Previous Media Industry or high tech industry experience
  • Familiar with company credit card transaction processing
  • Experience with online expense management systems (Concur a plus)
  • Accounting system experience – NetSuite or comparable ERP system
