Manager, Ad Operations (East Coast) at ZEFR

ZEFR is hiring! We seeking an Ad Op’s Manager to join our team in New York, NY! You will manage a team of traffickers as well as traffic individual campaigns.  You will serve as a bridge between our sales and ad operations teams, ensuring campaigns are operating at peak performance and our clients are thrilled with our work. You are organized, experienced with campaign implementation and maintenance, and able to provide performance support for video campaigns.  You are also able to train and teach traffickers the ways of the force.

Here’s what you’ll get to do:

  • Manage a 2-3 person ad ops team that sits as part of our larger Ad Ops organization
  • Train incoming Ad Operations Traffickers and oversee their campaigns, ensuring quality control and performance. Continued Player/Coach role, working to develop individual traffickers
  • Occasionally, act as a “Technical Account Manager” for the sales team externally
  • Manage key North American and Global digital ad operations processes, including inventory management and forecasting, ad delivery, ad campaign trafficking using ZEFR internal systems Interface directly with ZEFR product management, ad operations, and technical resources to troubleshoot ad delivery issues
  • Collaborate internally to develop the roadmap for ZEFR's ad operations infrastructure needs, and work with ZEFR"s technical resources to build the capabilities
  • Perform quality assurance, upload and QA 3rd party ad tags to ensure that they meet advertising materials specifications and policy set by the company
  • Ensure online ad campaigns are properly booked into ZEFR internal system as reflected in sales insertion orders prior to assigning to traffickers
  • Handle inventory requests and fixed placement reservations for Sales Team providing proper guidance to maximize the revenue opportunity
  • Analyze your teams campaign performance, delivery, and pacing to guarantee client's expectations are exceeded Provide support to advertising clients and internal Ad Sales staff
  • Help speak “tech” to our sales team and “sales” to our tech teams


Here’s what we’re looking for:

  • 3+ years of ad serving and ad management experience
  • Exceptional, transparent communicator who understands the sense for urgency
  • 0-2 years of experience managing a small to medium-sized ad operations team
  • Exceptional technical and problem-solving skills and a sharp strategic mindset 
  • Strong team player who is an exceptional, transparent communicator, and understand the sense for urgency
  • The ability to foster productive relationships within a cross-functional global team 
  • Adept at project management and multi-tasking in an environment of rapidly shifting priorities 
  • Excellent understanding of the advertising industry, digital ad operations, and digital ad sales support needs 
  • Experience with YouTube and AdWords, a plus
