Our dotloop business streamlines real estate transactions, eliminating paperwork by connecting people, documents and tasks all in one place. The General Manager leads all elements of this rapidly growing business and owns an innovative, highly engaged team. Dotloop is a tech startup that was acquired by Zillow Group in 2015. The company has grown rapidly: today more than 50% of all U.S. real estate transactions are touched by dotloop. We now have over 175 employees, are profitable, and generate tens of millions in revenue, but we haven’t lost our startup attitude. We continue to innovate like crazy.

About the role

This is a high impact / high visibility role with big opportunities for personal growth and experiences and the ability to make a difference within Zillow Group.

As the General Manager of dotloop, you – and the team you lead - will be responsible for defining the business strategy, engaging employees to get results, and connecting the brand with Zillow Group. Responsibilities include:

  • Leading all aspects of the business: Sales, Marketing, Support, Customer Engagement.

  • Be a key member of the industry development team leadership team responsible for setting and evolving dotloop’s business strategy, reporting to the Chief Industry Development Officer.

  • Be responsible for leading cross-functional teams organized to implement new go-to-market strategies and other groundbreaking initiatives; act as the face of the company, both internally and externally.

  • Monitor and analyze the industry’s competitive landscape and make strategic recommendations on opportunities to build, buy and/or partner to accelerate growth.

  • Regularly confer with the Chief Industry Development Officer and other executive and administrative colleagues to review achievements, industry updates, and discuss required changes in goals or objectives.

  • Partner with shared services (HR, Finance, Legal, etc.) to analyze activities, costs, operations, and forecast data to determine department or division progress toward stated goals and objectives, and coordinate company policies.

  • Oversee key projects, processes and performance reports, data and analysis.

  • Lead enterprise contract negotiation & renewals.

  • Collaborate with leadership to attract, retain, and motivate hardworking individuals.

Who you are

  • Real estate industry experience preferred but not required.

  • B-to-B SaaS experience preferred but not required.

  • Senior leadership experience.

  • An excellent collaborator who can work with people to get the right things done.

  • Strong people leader with the ability to travel monthly.

  • Effective communicator who can articulate mission/vision/strategies and connect those things to the work that people do day in and day out.

  • Bold pacesetter who knows how to create urgency without compromising "balance" necessary to maintain strong employee engagement and morale.

  • Strong strategic intuition and problem-solving skills, with the ability to transition from 10k to 30k feet quickly as the business demands.

  • Team player with experience working across multiple divisions on cross-functional projects that require ongoing partnership and periodic persuasion.

  • A creative negotiator whose approach is collaborative, but knows when to hold the line (meaningful for prioritizing internal requests and external deals).

  • You have strong quantitative and problem-solving skills; high attention to detail and extraordinary organizational skills.

  • You love to learn new skills.
