The Corporate Compliance team sits within the Legal and Compliance organization and provides information security and risk assessment services to Zillow Group’s Mortgage and Closing Services lines of business. About the role

Zillow is seeking a driven, highly accountable compliance professional to join Zillow Group’s (ZG) Corporate Compliance team.  Working in close partnership with stakeholders from across the company, this role will be responsible for conducting IT compliance assessments and implementing information security controls in support of ZG’s mortgage and closing services operations.  If you want to make big contributions to a fast-growing enterprise, we encourage you to apply! 

This includes the chance to:

  • Lead IT compliance assessments against information systems, services, and teams that support ZG’s Mortgage and Closing Services operations

  • Identify compliance deficiencies, and drive remediation activities with stakeholders

  • Review existing IT compliance controls for regulatory updates against FSSC, FFIEC, GLBA, and NIST frameworks 

  • Manage continuous monitoring activities and compliance event schedules  

  • Support evidence collection, and documentation in support of internal and external audits 

  • Work with stakeholders to create policies, standards, processes, and procedures 

  • Generate team compliance reports and metrics by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information

  • Develop compliance-related documentation such as architecture diagrams, system descriptions, control implementation statements, and system connection tables

  • Promote legal and regulatory compliance by researching and communicating requirements among stakeholders 

  • Provide superior client service by delivering clear, concise, and practical guidance and excellent written work product

  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies

Ideal candidates for this position will have clear communication skills, both written and verbal.  Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to work with individuals at all levels in the organization and build strong relationships with stakeholders.  It’s important that candidates have the ability to meet deadlines, keep organized records, and troubleshoot issues. Other requirements include: 

  • 3+ years’ experience in performing IT compliance or security risk assessments or audits 

  • Strong knowledge of financial services industry information security standards and frameworks such as NIST CSF, NIST 800-53, FFIEC, SOC, GLBA, and FSSC 

  • Understanding of AWS cloud security practices and the shared responsibility model

  • Familiarity with SaaS tools such as Salesforce, Encompass, Twilio, eFax and Splunk 

  • Relevant Certifications:  Security +, CRISC, CISA, or CISSP (not required but a huge plus) 

  • Some travel is required for this position
