Job Description

Zillow Group is looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to join the Financial Planning and Analysis team in support of the Mortgage segment! This highly visible role requires a personable, proactive, and detail-oriented candidate with a proven track record of fostering relationships across functions and levels, allowing for the opportunity to engage with business leaders on a regular basis. This person must thrive on change, solving new problems, and rapidly breaking new ground on business models. If you’re not afraid of working with large amounts of data, you’ll get the chance to make it all come together into meaningful metrics used to make strategic business decisions.

In this role, you will:

  • Manage the revenue and expense forecasting processes for our Mortgage segment
  • Assist in partnering with business leaders to develop strategies, evaluate business opportunities, and provide clear and concise recommendations based on thorough analysis
  • Partner cross-functionally to understand new/current revenue-producing products and expenses from both a business and accounting perspective
  • Create consolidated views of our multiple marketplaces by working with a variety of analysts. Includes recurring and ad hoc requests
  • Create and support reporting and modeling functionality within our financial planning tool
  • Juggle multiple ad hoc requests and demands, requiring the ability to quickly shift focus as necessary
  • Frequently lead meetings with key decision makers

Who you are

  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
  • 3+ years of experience as a financial analyst
  • Experience building complex financial models in Excel is essential
  • Strong business acumen with understanding of price elasticity, customer acquisition costs and other similar concepts relating to online marketplace business models
  • Additional desired software experience includes Workday HCM and/or Financials, Anaplan, Tableau, Salesforce or similar CRM products
  • Public company experience desirable
