Zillow is looking for a multifaceted, highly motivated Business Operations Manager to deliver critical data insights, champion business process optimization, and provide strategic support for Zillow’s Central Operations leadership team, as part of the Strategy & Operations team! The Strategy & Operations team is a mission-critical resource within Central Operations, built to facilitate the continued evolution of data-driven operational strategy and management. The Central Operations organization is home to an assemblage of business lines, including Transaction Management, Title & Escrow, Property Services (e.g., Utilities, Property Compliance), Regulated Real Estate Operations, and Risk Management, and spans across Zillow Group’s operational business lines (Zillow Offers, Zillow Closing Services, etc.).
This role will be a key part of the organization’s success, partnering with a number of talented teams on cross-functional projects—requiring substantial business knowledge, financial acumen, operational wisdom, creativity, critical thinking and problem solving, and a remarkable proficiency in data analytics and process optimization.
Perform data analysis and validation for creation of business and operational reporting. Tailor the story to specific audiences, collaborate with several highly skilled teams, join multiple data sources, and deliver a solution fit for today, intended for tomorrow.
Create mechanisms to track financial targets and monitor operational performance (KPIs, SLAs and OKRs). Develop dashboards, processes, and/or tools to diagnose root-cause, shed light on historical trends and patterns, and provide pacing against monthly and quarterly targets.
Improve management decision-making by delivering data-driven recommendations that are aligned with organizational strategy and quarterly goals.
Facilitate the scoping and modeling of strategic initiatives. Lead and obtain support and commitment from business owners and various teams, including FP&A, product management, and project management. Provide continual initiative support through implementation and execution.
Champion and support mission-critical projects, such as business process improvement, time studies, cost containment initiatives, or new product/market launch. Collaborate, leverage or create standardized processes or frameworks, and display strong teamwork and leadership skills.
