Scope:

Responsible for both customer-facing and internal Program Management activities for Pre-staging Services.

Duties:

Serve as the overall Program Manager for Infinera’s Pre-staging services including both internal program oversight and management of individual customer projects.   Position is accountable for successful delivery of Pre-staging services to Infinera customers, ensuring compliance with Infinera internal control requirements for Pre-staging Services, and driving continuous improvement in both Pre-staging offers and delivery.

Responsibilities:

  • Use forecast information provided by Sales to continually review and understand the pipeline for Pre-staging services and prepare for delivery
  • Coordinate directly with Infinera Sales personnel to
    • Clarify customer requirements
    • Ensure proposals and corresponding orders for Pre-staging orders include the required part numbers and configuration documentation
    • Collaborate on product and related material planning based on customer delivery expectations
  • Coordinate directly with Regional Professional Services teams
    • Align on the Pre-staging delivery plan for approved customer projects
    • Identify Region Project Manager personnel to be informed of Pre-staging status
  • Use the daily Pre-staging block report to:
    • View all Sales Orders on Pre-staging block
    • Resolve any discrepancies in Purchase Orders or corresponding Bills of Material (BOM) as necessary to allow the order to be removed from block
    • Coordinate with Order Management to make required changes to the orders and release the orders from block
  • Where assigned as the Pre-staging PM for an individual customer order, perform Project Management for Pre-staging delivery
    • Manage the project in SAP Project Systems
    • Maintain the project through to completion including all required records
    • Raise third-party purchase requisitions for Pre-staging delivery
    • Coordinate internal stock transfer for products or related materials as required
    • Coordinate the delivery timeline
    • Resolve questions or issues raised by the customer, the Infinera Sales team, or other stakeholders until concluded
    • Coordinate with Operations Logistics or Region PS as required for final delivery to the customer location
    • Ensure all costs are correctly recorded against the Pre-staging project
    • Coordinate with Order Invoicing for invoice release upon Pre-staging project completion
    • Manage of information flows internal to Infinera and external to the customer
  • Participate in regular program reviews for the Pre-staging program as required
    • Track and report costs associated with Pre-staging
    • Report Pre-staging delivery volume and forecast
    • Issues and resolution plan
  • Support continuous process improvement for Pre-staging offers and delivery
    • Collaborate with Services PLM to review Pre-staging demand and delivery to optimize Pre-staging offers and pricing
    • Collaborate with Operations and other stakeholders to identify and drive Pre-staging process improvement

Qualifications:

  • Experience with telecommunications technology and networks
  • Project management experience with large, complex telecommunications networks
  • Experience in managing and working with third-party subcontractors or partners
  • Experience in complex system material logistics
  • Understanding of profit and lost considerations for professional service delivery

Skills:

  • Experience and proficiency with Microsoft office tools
  • Experience with Salesforce a plus
  • Experience and proficiency with SAP, particularly SAP Project Systems, a plus
  • Strong written and oral communications skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Experience working in an international role a plus, particularly experience with Asia, Europe and the Middle East

Education:

  • B.S. or B.A. in a relevant technical or business field desirable
  • Project management certification a plus
