As an Observability Engineer we know that you’re passionate about data. You delight in building new ways to ingest, analyse, visualise data, and take decisions and actions from that data. This team’s work ensures that Anaplan can observe the state of our platform at all times, identify, predict and respond to anomalies, saving our customers from costly downtime.
What you’ll be doing:
Working with the security team to ensure compliance and regulatory requirements are met
Working with engineering teams to enable them to support their services from development to production
Work with business units outside of engineering to bring data to planning and decisions
Continually making it easier to ingest, analyse and visualise data in our Splunk / SignalFx based platform
Working as part of an agile team, learning and succeeding together
Scripting and automation in Python, Ruby, Shell, or other scripting languages
Metrics and monitoring using Splunk, SignalFx, or open-source alternatives (ELK, Prometheus, Graphite, etc)
Container runtime technologies (Kubernetes, Helm, Docker etc)
Public cloud platforms (eg. AWS, GCP)
Configuration management using Chef, Ansible, Terraform etc.
Automation tooling, such as Rundeck
Linux administration including package management, DNS, and network file systems
Relational databases (MySQL, Postgres, SQL Server etc.)
You will be part of the UK Infrastructure Engineering operations. You’ll be working closely with the Engineering Development, Product Architecture, and Program Management teams. You’ll be part of the partnership between our UK and US Infrastructure teams.
