As a critical member of the marketing team, the Marketing Systems & Operations Manager is primarily responsible for operational management of marketing systems, business processes and data management. This role will serve as a key leader in the implementation, integration and management of marketing technologies and will work closely with the Marketing and Sales Operations team to assess channel stakeholder business needs and translate into functional requirements. The individual in this role will provide best practice guidance to optimize current processes in an effort to increase efficiency and effectiveness throughout Anaplan’s Marketing organization.
Marketing Technology: Own and manage marketing technology infrastructure, governance and roadmap in partnership with and/or supported by Sales Operations and other Marketing functions where appropriate.
Data Management: Define and manage the strategic plan for marketing data management, including database growth and enrichment, governance, and quality assurance.
Marketing Automation: Oversee all marketing automation programs, including marketing scoring models, nurturing flows and rules, and company-wide best practices
Reporting and Analytics: Build, manage and maintain reports/dashboards within Salesforce CRM
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Management Information System, Marketing, Business, or related field is required unless there is significant, relevant work experience
Understanding and experience working within the context of a shared Marketing and Sales funnel
Work collaboratively to understand business needs and turn those into marketing technology solutions and repeatable, scalable processes
Knowledge of how to identify, evaluate, recommend, and implement technology, ideally of a marketing or database/analytical nature (social monitoring, web site analytics/data analytics, CRM systems)
Problem solver with the ability to make recommendations in a structured, professional manner to business stakeholders from varied functions and at all levels of the organization
Ability to recognize a need for or gap in a process and propose and implement an appropriate resolution
Project management skills coupled with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and meet deadlines with minimal oversight
Salesforce Certified System Administrator
General working knowledge of Marketo
