Our growing Finance & Strategy team is looking for an experienced, strategic and hands-on Senior Manager to build out and run our Product Finance & Strategy function. This is a great opportunity to make a real difference at the ground level of a global, pre-IPO, tech company. Reporting to the VP of Finance & Strategy, this newly-created position will play a critical role in supporting the Company’s continued track record of strong growth and driving a scalable and efficient operation. The person will embrace innovation, but with an eye to determining the ROI on projects and looking at the new product portfolio and balancing short-term and long-term projects, as well as supporting projects that will deliver revenue growth and products that enhance the existing platform and innovate into other areas. You will partner closely with the Product, Engineering, and GTM teams to influence strategic decisions and maintain fiscal discipline.

The ideal candidate will have a background working with Product and R&D leadership in the software industry and experience implementing best practices and best-of-breed tools/systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner closely with Product, Engineering, and Design leaders to define and drive responsibilities around forecasting and managing business metrics
  • Drive annual planning and monthly forecasting for the Product and Engineering organizations, and work with Corporate Finance in leading firm-wide financial planning 
  • Provide recommendations to executive team and product leaders on actionable insights
  • Own the communications strategy for Product and Engineering financial planning, including executive-level and detailed project briefs and status updates
  • Leverage analytics for insights, highlighting trends and measuring the effectiveness of the product pipeline and portfolio
  • Actively insure good economics for projects at the macro and micro levels and across both a short- and long-term horizon
  • Collaborate with cross-functional leaders and teams including Accounting, Legal and Recruiting
  • Attract, develop and retain outstanding talent

Required Skills/Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of relevant industry experience in investment banking, consulting, and/or corporate finance with preference for enterprise software, services or SaaS businesses
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field; MBA a plus
  • Understanding of high-tech landscape both from a business and technology perspective
  • Advanced proficiency in financial analysis and financial modeling
  • Strategic thinker with superior business acumen
  • Skilled at building relationships and influencing at all levels of management and across functions
  • Experience in Product / R&D finance and comfortable communicating with R&D leaders
  • Proficient in Adaptive Insights, NetSuite, Coupa and other software systems
