Director, Category Performance AR/VR at Facebook

The primary responsibility of this position is to lead the category performance management team, ultimately responsible for defining channel strategy to drive share, sales, profit and loyalty to our products. The Category Performance Director is the owner of integrated allocation of the promo/channel marketing spend by class of trade and partner strategy development within the Category Marketing Plan.

Director, Category Performance AR/VR Responsibilities
  • Own cross-channel promotional strategies and programs that drive sales.
  • Creates strategy & category guidance to the account teams and cross-functionally.
  • Drives cross functional alignment of category plans across Sales and Marketing.
  • Ensure teams are working within a class of trade prioritization framework.
  • Ensure sales analytics data is used to inform and drive decision making.
  • Design, deploy and own the weekly business performance reviews and interface with leadership.
  • Jointly own the category marketing plan [CMP] with the Category business management team.
  • Manage inventory allocation and account planning inputs for seasonality, promotions and channel expansion.
  • Responsible for managing the team that delivers sales pitch decks and launch material.
  • Drives strategic category thought leadership presentations with Partners.
  • Deliver executive level vision and strategy presentations to the Partner regarding the Category and Facebook products within it (the best presenter and storyteller in the company regarding their Category).
  • Manages lifecycle of products in class of trade.
  • Travel requirements: 30%.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 12+ years of experience in Category Management, Product Marketing, Account Management and Business Development or some relevant combination.
  • Communicator with presentation skills and experience presenting to leadership from internal and external organizations.
  • Understanding of levers for driving change by channel, share and revenue in the category.
  • Advanced skill with either Google Sheets and Slides or Excel and PowerPoint.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s degree.
  • Knowledge of the AR/VR/Smart display industry.
  • Experience with Profit & Loss management of at least $200 million annual business(es), with at least 5 years of direct P&L accountability/management experience.
  • Experience adapting and supporting the organization through times of change.
  • An entrepreneurial mindset with a bias towards action.
  • Experience understanding, translating and mapping strategic business and competitive priorities into analysis and deliver insights.
  • Values collaboration and has experience communicating across varied stakeholders and influence without authority.
  • Experience dealing with ambiguity, navigate through uncertain situations and quickly adapt to change.
