The North America Business Marketing team seeks an experienced Platform Marketing Manager to help manage the marketing of Instagram as a core advertising platform in North America (United States & Canada). This individual will be passionate about developing insight-led marketing programs that may include digital campaigns, large-scale in-person and virtual events, 2D/3D marketing collateral, case studies, engaging video content, internal and external education and more. A successful candidate will have an understanding of Facebook’s core advertising solutions (including Instagram), Instagram’s branding aesthetic and visual storytelling, as well as a deep knowledge of marketing strategy across a variety of industries and the online advertising space. Excellent communication, project management skills and a track record of producing best-in-class campaigns are critical to success in this position. The candidate’s experience should include working with executive sales and marketing leadership to understand market needs, and a demonstrated ability to work with cross-functional teams in different regions globally. Travel to key cities in-region may be required. The role will report into the Head of Platforms & Programs for North America.
Instagram Marketing Manager, North America Responsibilities
Serve as the region’s expert in Instagram’s latest product & solution knowledge, roadmap plans, messaging and regional sales and audience application and usage.
Develop a strategic, holistic North America go-to-market strategy that aligns to Instagram and the regions overall business marketing strategy.
Be a key stakeholder for cross-functional counterparts, Facebook Global Business Marketing, Sales, Product Marketing, Business Operations, Marketing Science and Creative Shop organizations to align strategy, programs, messaging and resources with Instagram’s advertising growth targets.
Adapt global marketing programs and campaigns for North America business audiences and goals.
Collaborate with the NA Business Marketing team to develop a plan that integrates Instagram into our biggest priorities.
Lead Instagram Business integration into key industry events and digital activations.
Produce innovative and creative strategies for marketing deliverables such as content, programs, event activation, creative and training.
Lead the team in-region and liaise with the global Instagram platform and program teams to highlight regional needs and continuously surface NA initiatives and success stories.
Produce or co-produce regional insights packages and surface NA platform and business insights needs within the Facebook business.
Display powerful leadership and presentation skills that influence, invite participation and effect desired outcomes across multiple levels.
Set partner and stakeholder expectations through strong and consistent communication.
8+ years of experience in B2B marketing and/or business experience
Cross-functional, project management and leadership experience with experience influencing up and across all levels of the organization
Experience working within the North America market
Experience marketing online products to business audiences
Quantitative analytical experience and strategic thinking
Experience leading presentations and experience communicating and influencing decision makers
Demonstrated budget management and resource planning experience
Experience in the digital advertising industry
Experience managing individual contributors
