At Facebook’s Augmented Reality/Virtual Reality (AR/VR) organization, we're building devices and experiences that make people feel closer together. The organization includes Oculus and Portal products and other hardware, AR and VR software and content, and research and development labs. The AR/VR Marketing Communications team is seeking a bold and innovative marketing leader to drive the growth of our Oculus and Portal product portfolios through editorial content, social media and influencer marketing channels. Ultimately, this individual is responsible for the business impact of our editorial content, social and influencer channels. Our ideal candidate will excel at team leadership, social channel strategy, content planning, channel operations, and measurement and analytics. This person is a big thinker who’s more than happy to roll up his/her sleeves with the team to bring new, innovative work to our customers. They have strong cross-functional partnership skills and thrive in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment.

Head of Social and Influencer Marketing, AR/VR Responsibilities
  • Vision and Strategy: Build on holistic marketing strategy to drive growth through editorial content marketing, social media and influencer engagement programs for current and emerging brands.
  • People Management: Grow, coach, mentor and inspire a team of social and influencer marketers to develop and execute social-first programs in support of global and regional marketing initiatives.
  • Results and Impact: Partner with decision science, S&O counterparts to set key performance indicators, evaluate success against objectives and investment, and continuously optimize.
  • Customer Insight: Understand our core audiences, and the evolving ways they connect and create with content, media and each other, in order to change behavior and brand perception.
  • Creative Content: Partner with our creative teams and agencies to dream and deliver iterative, culturally relevant, social-first creative.
  • Operations and Process: Develop, evolve and drive processes to manage a social and influencer practice that operates in both planned and real time moments
  • oversee channel budgeting, resourcing, legal compliance, content planning and publishing, influencer and community engagement, moderation, and reporting.
  • Tooling and Infrastructure: Oversee management of necessary tools, systems and infrastructure required to deliver and measure social media, content and influencer marketing programs
  • manage new and existing partners integral for a social and influencer practice at scale.
  • Cross-functional Partnerships: Collaborate with and influence cross functional partners in research, product marketing, integrated marketing, experiential marketing, communications, customer experience, analytics and legal to inform social strategy, activation and results.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor in Business, Management, Marketing, and Related Support Services
  • 12 or more years of experience with digital marketing, social media marketing, or content marketing
  • 8 or more years of experience with team leadership or team management
  • Experience managing a social and influencer marketing practice at a global consumer brand
  • Experience with social media and influencer ecosystems, tools, platforms and offerings
  • Experience building and managing real time editorial content studios
  • Experience driving measurable results from social marketing at a global company
  • Experience improving internal processes and creating structure within a growing organization
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master in MBA
  • Experience in the tech, media, gaming or entertainment space
