The Small Business Group contributes directly to this mission by connecting every small business in the world with their customers on Facebook, Instagram, and Messenger, and then helping them grow through solutions like pages, advertising, and messaging. We succeed when we help our customers grow their business. The Small Business Group at Facebook is one of two sales channels responsible for Facebook’s multi-billion dollar advertising business. Our team helps more than 99% of Facebook’s 8 million plus advertisers. Our potential business is even larger with more than 140 million active Small Business pages on Facebook.

The Director, Advertiser Onboarding Programs, will be a part of our Small Business Group’s Long Tail Program Area where we oversee the vast majority of our 8 million advertisers across the Facebook family of products. This person will lead team of strategic program managers that focus on creating, developing, and optimizing new advertiser onboarding programs to help small businesses start and sustain value on our platform. This covers a wide range of initiatives including developing and testing new services to onboard new advertisers, educating and training new advertisers on the basics, and developing innovative experiences to help businesses grow. The leader is empowered with global responsibility for this strategic focus area of helping all small businesses become successful advertisers, working cross-functionally with data science, marketing, sales, and product teams, to further Facebook's impact with SMBs globally.

Ideal candidates will have strong experience developing acquisition and onboarding strategies, overseeing global program management functions, utilizing analytical and relationship skills to identify and capitalize upon opportunities, and working cross-functionally. Success in this position requires a passion for leadership, strong analytical skills, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, ambiguous, and collaborative environment.

This full-time position is available in our Menlo Park, CA, San Francisco, CA or Austin, TX offices.

Director, Advertising Onboarding Programs, Small Business Group Responsibilities
  • Accountable for overseeing strategic new advertiser onboarding programs that drive retention and long term revenue goals
  • Innovate, develop, and test new programs and initiatives turning hypotheses into actions and results
  • overseeing end to end execution through channel marketing, product, and program treatments
  • Strong cross functional leadership, working relationships with leaders across Facebook teams (e.g. product, engineering, sales, business development, marketing, human resources sales planning/operations and finance)
  • Lead and manage team of strategic program managers, including recruiting, training, and development
  • Serve as strategic thought leader for Small Businesses to SBG leadership team, Product, and cross-functional partners, providing strategic recommendation and influencing decision making
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 12+ years of experience with online marketing, sales, and product solutions for small business
  • 7+ years of experience with leadership or team management in strategic and analytical functions
  • Experience working with small businesses and developing strategies to scale services and support, including experience guiding product development
  • Demonstrated experience with performance marketing and marketing operations
  • Leadership experience engaging and influencing at an executive level with cross-functional groups
  • Experience as a manager with track record of building teams and developing talent
  • Global professional experience (including work outside the US)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Avid Facebook user and experience with Facebook ads buying platform and understanding of Facebook advertising solutions
  • Experience working with or in support of diverse communities
