Strategic Business Communications Manager at Facebook

Facebook is seeking an experienced communication strategist to lead and develop communications to internal sales and partnerships teams globally, as well as inform how we share information with external business audiences. Partner-facing teams are key to telling the Facebook story and driving adoption of our latest innovations, and it is critical that they are empowered with up-to-date information and positioning to share to the millions of businesses who use our services around the world. This role will focus on clearly communicating our company’s mission and values, providing well-defined perspectives on critical issues, and helping educate and grow awareness for new and existing advertising products across Facebook apps and technologies. Key aspects of the role will include devising go-to-market strategies around challenging and time-sensitive issues, briefing executives, anticipating questions, and leading the coordination and execution of internal and external communications. Working across leadership, Product, PR, Legal, Policy, Marketing, and others, this person must excel at cross-functional collaboration and deliver high-quality work even under severe time constraints. The ideal candidate for the role is an independent self-starter with excellent communication and critical thinking skills. The right person will be able to take complex ideas about products and policies and explain them in a clear and simple manner. Attention to detail, strong organization skills, and ability to perform under pressure are critical.

Strategic Business Communications Manager Responsibilities
  • Lead communications and go-to-market strategies regarding important and timely topics or issues related to the integrity of our platform
  • Directly responsible for development of proactive communications plans and reactive response development
  • Develop executive communications that reflects an understanding of individual business goals and leadership styles
  • Communicate the value proposition of new products and features by developing go-to-market strategies and messaging
  • Build strong partnerships with executives and teams around the company, including but not limited to Product Marketing, Corporate Communications, Legal, and Policy
  • Stay up-to-date with the business products offering across the Facebook family
Minimum Qualifications
  • 10+ years professional experience in PR or communications
  • Experience leading strategic internal and/or external communication plans and narrative development
  • Experience working in a cross-functional capacity within a dynamic, rapidly changing environment
  • Experience managing crisis and rapid response communications
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in internet, technology and/or advertising and media industries
  • Experience working with global teams
