Senior Devops Engineer at Varonis Systems

Varonis Systems is the leader in unstructured and semi-structured data governance software, which is any human generated data that is within a company’s environment. Our goal is to protect companies most sensitive information from insider threats and cyberattacks. We do this by allowing organizations to analyze, secure, manage, and migrate their volumes of unstructured data.


Responsibilities

  • Be part of a global R&D DevOps team responsible of a diverse production environments based on Microsoft Azure, that provides a data security platform that protects cyberattacks and insider threats.
  • Design and development of tools, CICD pipelines and automation processes for configuration, deployment and maintenance of our complex pre-production and production cloud environments.
  • Research, examination and implementation of new cloud technologies and open source tools.
  • Work closely with other engineering teams on designing and implementation of new processes.


Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience as a DevOps engineer with significant coding experience in PowerShell, Python, Bash or equivalent.
  • Expertise on at least one major cloud platform: Azure, AWS or GCP (Azure is an advantage).
  • 5+ years of Window or Linux hands on experience (configure, troubleshooting and deployment).
  • Experience with IaaC tools such as: Terraform, Packer and Ansible.
  • Experience with CICD and version control tools such as: Jenkins, Azure DevOps, and Git.
  • Good understanding of IT infrastructure related components, technologies and protocols: Active Directory, DNS, TCPIP, Load balancing, PKI, Firewalls and routing.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects of varying scopes concurrently, excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.


Advantages

  • Experience with various Azure services, such as: Service Fabric cluster, AKS, Virtual machine scale set, Storage account, Azure AD, Event Hubs, App Service, Azure SQL and SQL Managed instance, Log Analytics and Kusto query language, Azure Function and more.
  • Experience with analytics, monitoring and dashboard tools (Grafana is an advantage).
  • C#.Net programing experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline, Information Systems Technology or Computer Science.
