Anaplan is looking to hire a highly effective Sr. Manager, Revenue. This position is responsible for ensuring the integrity of global revenue accounting and order-to-cash operations by providing leadership, accounting expertise, business sense, and a strong desire to improve processes and controls. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance and a CPA, in-depth knowledge of accounting operations and experience in managing teams in a high growth environment. The candidate must have strong organization and executive communication skills, be detail oriented and hands-on.
In this role you will:
Review sales contracts to ensure revenue is recognized in accordance with US GAAP and internal policies
Work collaboratively and strategically with Legal, Sales, Sales Operations, Deal Desk, Customer Operations, and FP&A to drive best practices in revenue
Consult with Deal Desk on deal structure and terms for revenue compliance and optimization
Research accounting guidance and prepare technical memos to document Company’s position on revenue transactions.
Manage month end close processes
Manage support for monthly close package and internal/external quarterly audit requests
Manage quarterly and year-end audit requests and drive issue resolution
Manage IT and systems projects to drive automation of contract processing and revenue recognition
Understanding and prior experience with design and implementation of revenue accounting policies and procedures and internal controls to assist with growing the SOX environment
Strong presentation and interpersonal skills to project manage effectively and efficiently with cross-functional teams
Bachelor degree in Accounting or Finance
Big 4 Public accounting experience preferred
4+ years of public or private SaaS industry experience
Commitment to process improvement and the ability to think “out-of the box”
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
A team player, adept at building relationships across the organization
Strong organizational skills and detail-oriented self-starter with the ability to work independently
Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel, Word and PowerPoint software applications
Experience with systems including Salesforce, Workday Financials, and Anaplan preferred
