What You’ll Do: 

Twitter Trust & Safety seeks an experienced, goal-oriented, organized team player to join our Legal Policy team in Singapore. Legal Policy is responsible for processing sensitive global legal requests, such as court orders or requests for user data, from start to finish including document intake, logging, analysis, processing, and follow-up. You will report to our Trust & Safety lead in Singapore and be in charge of the following: 

  • Leading the local Legal Policy team, handling regional escalations related to the legal requests we receive, and providing ongoing team development and support. This includes motivating your team to efficiently produce high-quality work in line with our quality assurance and quality control processes, delegating tasks or seeing projects through to completion, and ensuring compliance within external deadlines and internal SLAs.
  • Working closely with the Legal Policy management team and other team members in San Francisco, Dublin, and Singapore to align on strategy and objectives and improve the operational efficiency and accuracy of our legal requests for account information or to remove content. This includes continuously evaluating and proposing improvements for existing operations, frameworks, and processes. 
  • Maintaining open, thorough, and regular communication with global T&S management, in-house counsel, public policy, and communications teams. This includes communicating explanations of process and policy clearly and patiently to internal stakeholders. 
  • Growing your team through purposeful hiring and implementing meaningful professional development opportunities and direction for the team. 

You should be comfortable in a fast-paced environment, able to delegate effectively, remain focused and communicative in high-pressure situations, and inspire great work from your team. You will be able to assess current and future team needs in fast-changing legal and regulatory environments, all with an eye toward protecting our users and promoting transparency. Familiarity working with distributed teams and scaling operations is required and comfort with electronic communications is essential.

Requirements: 

  • 4-8 years of relevant management experience, including hiring and developing talent, content review, policy development, oversight of large-scale operations, and a consistent record of team development
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent education / experience
