Affirm's mission is to deliver honest financial products to improve lives. We do this by partnering with merchants around the world to offer responsible installments products at the point of sale. In order to best deliver our product, we develop and execute partnership strategies that power our product distribution. We are looking for a strong leader who is motivated to take a portfolio management approach to drive key metrics such as loan volume and merchant acquisition. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing teams, growing partnerships in the payments and ecommerce landscape and working cross-functionally with high performance teams. This role will report into the VP of Strategic Partnerships.

What you'll do

  • Lead a high-performing partnership management team focused on driving business through our platform partners 
  • Develop and implement the strategy and playbook for partnership growth
  • Build a one-to-many channel sales and referral strategy and program by identifying external partners that deliver meaningful benefits and merchant growth 
  • Partner with marketing team to develop robust co-marketing campaign strategies 
  • Partner with Product and Engineering teams in roadmap development
  • Identify and develop new offerings to collaborate with our partners to drive Industry leadership and new business opportunities 
  • Monitor overall profitability of the platform business

What we look for

  • 8+ years of experience in Business Development, Partnership Management or Channel Partnerships
  • 5+ years of building and managing high performance teams
  • Familiarity with the payments and ecommerce/in-store platforms landscape
  • Clear communication, structured thinking, organization and project management skills
  • Strong collaborator who can build relationships across the organization
  • Strong negotiation skills, with an emphasis on driving partner value
