Product Marketing Director, Portal from Facebook at Facebook

The Portal team is building products at the intersection of hardware, software, and content that make it easier to connect more regularly with the most important people in your life. The launch of Portal, Portal Mini, Portal+, and Portal TV is just the beginning, and the team has an ambitious roadmap in 2020 and beyond.

We’re looking for an experienced Director to lead the Portal Product Marketing team. In this role, you'll be responsible for leading a team of marketers who help shape the product development process and introduce new products to the market with ambitious marketing campaigns. You’ll partner closely with Product Management, Integrated Marketing, Creative and other cross-functional teams to help set the vision and direction for the Portal business.

Product Marketing Director, Portal from Facebook Responsibilities
  • Lead, mentor and inspire a high performing team of product marketers, including people managers, while encouraging a learning culture and ensuring that the team is healthy and growing
  • Craft a compelling vision and marketing strategy for Portal
  • Partner with Product Management, Design, and Marketing Insights teams to uncover user needs and business opportunities that inform the product roadmap for AR experiences, shared experiences, and content on Portal
  • Lead the team in developing and executing end-to-end marketing programs that tap into consumer insights and drive adoption and engagement
  • Tackle complex challenges and create thoughtful recommendations and action plans for solving them with product and cross-functional leadership
  • Model inclusive behaviors and build a diverse organization that values, respects, and taps into different backgrounds and perspectives
  • Partner closely with Business Development and cross-functional teams to shape our on-device content strategy
  • Work with external partners to develop comprehensive co-marketing programs
  • Drive retention and engagement, partnering closely with owned channel leads (CRM, Social) and Product Management leadership
  • Collaborate with Sales, Product, and Finance teams on forecasting, pricing, budgeting, etc.
Minimum Qualifications
  • 8 or more years of experience with team leadership or people management
  • 15 or more years of experience with product marketing
  • Track record of building partnerships with Product Management teams, and shaping multi-year product roadmaps
  • Experience partnering with Creative agencies and internal Creative teams to ship break through, integrated marketing campaigns
  • Leadership experience in a global role and knowledge of diverse cultural, social and business landscapes

  • Experience launching a consumer hardware product
