Rooms is the flagship product for Facebook’s Remote Presence strategy. Remote Presence has been made the No. 1 overall company priority, with the mission of empowering everyone to feel together even when they are not physically together. Communication is a core human need and is central to Facebook’s work to bring the world closer together. Mark and Facebook Leadership see Remote Presence - and Rooms, specifically - as a central tenet in the future of social interaction, the future of (remote) work, and the future of AR/VR. The majority of room creation and discovery happens in the Facebook App, making the core friends and family user experience you’ll lead arguably the biggest vector in whether Rooms can fulfill its promise. Additionally, the Facebook App is where myriad wraparound products exist, from Groups rooms to online events to virtual dating. Your team and product is the hub, and all the spokes come together in the Rooms Tray atop the Facebook App home tab. You’ll drive the collaboration across these product teams, ensuring we build a cohesive user experience that unlocks max social value for people. This role is the product lead for the Rooms experience on Facebook App. You’d be leading a growing team of product managers, and responsible for partnering closely with the Messenger Org (which owns the in-room experience), and moving the broader Facebook App effort forward by partnering with the teams (Groups, Events, Live, Dating) building out various Rooms use cases.

Product Management Lead, Rooms for FB App Responsibilities
  • Lead the ideation, technical development, and launch of innovative products
  • Establish shared vision across the company by building consensus on priorities leading to product execution
  • Drive product development with a team of world-class engineers and designers
  • Integrate usability studies, research and market analysis into product requirements to enhance user satisfaction
  • Define and analyze metrics that inform the success of products
  • Understand Facebook’s strategic and competitive position and deliver products that are recognized best in the industry
  • Maximize efficiency in a constantly evolving environment where the process is fluid and creative solutions are the norm
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor in Computer Science or similar fields
  • 8 or more years of experience with product launch
  • 8 or more years of experience with product management or product design
  • 8 or more years of experience with user interface
