QuantumScape is seeking a highly-motivated battery researcher to further improve the performance of our novel solid-state battery materials. You will learn how the technology works, develop new techniques for device fabrication and characterization, and work with the broader team to improve our materials and processing.
 
Responsibilities:
 
Develop new processing techniques, and integrate them into a robust and scalable electrochemical device
Characterize physical and electrochemical properties of materials and devices using state-of-the-art analytical methods
Collaborate with colleagues from multiple fields to optimize solutions and ensure that process specifications and device performance goals are met
Deliver high-quality technical reports to colleagues
 
Skills & Knowledge:
 
You have a sound understanding of materials science and chemistry fundamentals
You are self-motivated and have a track record of learning new skills and techniques, and applying those to achieve results

Minimum Requirements:
 
BS or MS in materials science, chemistry, chemical engineering, or a related technical field
 
Highly Desired:
 
Hands-on research experience in electrochemistry or energy storage-related projects
Development of and responsibility for a processing tool
Knowledge of statistical process control
