Director of Product Marketing at Lucidworks

About the Role

Lucidworks is seeking a talented product marketer to position a new market category that we are launching this year. As part of launching a new category, you will lead product launch marketing, drive growth in cloud software subscriptions, own our marketing partnership with the Google Cloud team, and create business solution content for demand generation.

Search – as the most effective way to put data to work for customers and employees,

Machine learning – to improve our power as workers, shoppers and researchers,   

Open source software – as the fastest path to innovation in a distributed ecosystem, 

Cloud computing – as the most effective way to bring new applications to market, and

Personalized applications – as the best way to delight end users.

You will collaborate with peers leading Analyst Relations, Press Relations, and Customer Marketing. Marketing rolls up to the Product organization at Lucidworks, so if you’ve ever had challenges getting time and attention from Product Management to discuss features or roadmap, that does not exist here. We’re all on the same team. You would also work closely with the Sales Enablement leader to train the field organization to confidently present new product features and benefits.

The role is located in our San Francisco or Raleigh, North Carolina regional offices. We are also open to remote candidates based in the US.

As Director of Product Marketing, you will lead three areas, all of which have a major, direct impact on the company’s revenue and market value:

Product Launch Marketing: You will work closely with Product Managers and Engineering to understand product roadmaps, manage the incubation process for new products, and execute approximately five product launch events per year.

Cloud Subscription Acquisition: Your goal would be to market to first-time customers looking for a PaaS solution and to existing customers hoping to move from Fusion on-premises to Fusion in the cloud. 

Content Creation for Demand Generation Campaigns: You will create world-class data sheets, solution overviews, competitive briefs, videos, webinars, and blog posts that explain our products’ benefits to the buyer and influencer personas who care about those benefits

You have:

10+ years professional marketing experience in enterprise software, preferably related to applications for data and analytics

Significant experience driving consumption of cloud-native apps in a major app marketplace

Superior writing skills, applicable to web copy, videos, white papers and social media

Some knowledge of technical concepts related to cloud computing, machine learning, application development and DevOps

Proven ability to work in a fast-paced start up, making and owning fact-based decisions

Comfort collaborating across different functions, personality types and seniority levels

Bonus points:

Prior industry experience in retail and/or ecommerce

Prior industry experience in workplace knowledge management software
